The global pandemic means that the past few months have been challenging for all of us. Beauty has probably been the last thing on our minds however, but a bit of self care is great at times like these.
I want to share with you my current 5 favourite beauty products; those I’ve been reaching out for and loving the most this year. For me it’s all about pampering at the moment, and these are all products that help me feel great – products that have a luxe feel to them and keep my skin looking amazing.
My current 5 favourite beauty products
Beauty Pie Soul Providers Oil Sugar Scrub
I’ve mentioned my love for Beauty Pie before on the blog. I use their Oil Sugar scrub from their Soul Providers range before stepping in the bath but it can also be used before showering. My skin is extremely dry and the combination of essential oils is revitalising leaving my skin really soft.
It does smell amazing. Maybe it’s just me, but it reminds me of Fanta! I love having baths and using this beforehand – it makes me feel like I’m bringing the spa into the home.
Fresh Rose Face Mask
This is one of my favourite face masks. It’s the only product I’ve ever tried that really smells of roses. Infused with real rose petals and with a gel consistency, it’s a great mask that helps to calm, cool and brighten tired skin.
It comes in two sizes, which is something I wish more brands did. I love being able to try products before deciding if they are suitable for my skin, especially for those high end brands.
L’AVES Bright & Lift Extreme Performance Facial Elixir*
I’ve been using this serum twice a day, first thing in the morning and before going to bed. It’s a rich oil, easily absorbed, that leaves my skin feeling really soft and nourished. It’s great for reviving and restoring the skin’s balance and only a couple of drops are needed each time. At the moment is all about anti ageing products for me. I favour anything that helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles – this is one of them.
I love the ethos behind L’AVES – their range is made using natural ingredients. They are vegan, preservative, palm oil and cruelty free with recyclable glass packaging. And the best thing of all? Their products are make in small batches, ensuring they are always fresh and of the highest quality.
Oliver Bonas Avocado and Coconut Hand & Body Moisturizer
A good hand cream is a must when you are washing your hands millions of times a day. This Oliver Bonas hand cream not only smells amazing but it’s really moisturising and feels quite nourishing. It’s absorbed really quickly and doesn’t leave my hands greasy, which is something I dislike.
I keep this hand cream on my bedside table to remind me using it before I go to bed. I love Oliver Bonas’ bath and body products, the packaging is quiet cute too, and can make great gifts for friends.
Ark Skin Perfector Triple Action Exfoliator*
I’m a big fan of Ark Skin Care products, and have also featured them on the blog before. I’ve been using this exfoliator once a week for the past couple of months and it’s probably the best I’ve ever tried. I’m fussy when it comes to exfoliators, as I hate how some of them can be quite harsh on the skin leaving it feeling really dry. Ark’s Skin Perfector Triple Action Exfoliator is really gentle and mild, leaving my skin really soft and smooth.
It’s texture it’s a bit different from other exfoliators I’ve used in the past. It’s a scrub, but once applied becomes a bit like a gel. Because of this, it will not rinse off and needs to be removed with a damp face cloth.
These are my current favourite beauty products, I’m sure they will change over time, especially as we are going into winter and my skin will be more dehydrated.
The products marked * have been sent to me with no obligation to post. They are featured on this post as I genuinely love them and have been using them the past few months.
