When you start following the Curly Girl Method it can feel a bit overwhelming learning what products to use and what ingredients to avoid. There is so much information out there, and there are some products aimed at curly hair that contain sulphates and silicons and other drying ingredients. It’s all down to personal preference; some people want to be really strict and follow the Curly Girl Method completely, and others are just happy using whatever products work for them, regardless of ingredients.
I’ve put a list of 30 Curly Girl Method approved conditioners to help you discover new brands for all budgets.
My current favourite conditioner is the Anwen Emollient Iris Medium Porosity Hair Conditione. Unfortunately it’s not easily available in the UK -I believe it’s a Polish brand. It’s a great conditioner if your hair needs a bit of protein or if you want to try and introduce protein in your routine. It’s a small tube but a little bit goes a long way.
