The art of gift wrapping

They say gift wrapping is an art… not sure if it is true  or not but I am  obsessed with it.

I always wanted to be one of those mums whose presents look very stylish and extremely well wrapped. My study is filled with lot’s of different rolls of paper, ribbons, labels, whasi tape etc. I flick through Pinterest and admire the lovely pictures of amazingly well presented presents and I just want to replicate them

These are some of my favourites below

Unfortunately, my wrapping never goes according to plan, I always end up leaving it to the last minute, usually the night before, and  as I wrap it all in a rush I forget my washi tape or my ribbons and I always end up deciding that I will need to leave my stylish wrapping until the next time

It was my son’s birthday on Sunday and as usual I left things to the last minute and wrapped his presents in a rush on Saturday night

Do you think he noticed my bad wrapping? NO, in fact  he ripped the paper apart in one second…

I will in the meantime, carry on adding images to my pinterest board and hope I can put some of those ideas into practice next time we have a birthday…

Please tell me I am not the only one with this obsession…
