Every season I like getting a couple of transitional pieces that will see me from spring into summer. Summery pieces, but with long sleeves, or thicker materials that will still look good and keep me warm at this time of the year.
I got this top in Next a couple of weeks ago and I am sure this will be one of those items I will be wearing quite a lot from now until summer.
When I first spotted it in store I knew straight away I had to get it. Not only it’s red, my favourite colour, but the embroidery and boho style are really on trend. I’m sure there are cheaper options out there, this was £40, however it’s worth the price, as the material and quality are excellent.
The combination of light and darker blues with white on the embroidery really works. The detailing is really beautiful, you can see how well made it is.
I have been wearing it with dark jeans, and once the weather starts getting warmer I will be pairing it with white trousers. It’s one of those versatile tops that can be dressed up or down and with the right shoes it can be worn from day to night.
And what is it with tops these days being super short? Unfortunately after having two children I have a bit of a mum tum and I need something that covers it. The length of this top, as you can see, it’s perfect. It’s not too long or baggy but it covers just the right amount.
So, if you are looking for a top to buy this spring that will see you through until summer, this is the one for you.
