I blame Pinterest for a lot of my home obsessions, and I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way! Pinterest can be a great source of inspiration and interior ideas, but it also creates unrealistic expectations. Outdoor hanging chairs, for example. I love them, they look super stylish and make a great statement piece in the garden, but is it worth spending the money on them when the UK admittedly doesn’t have the most suitable weather for outdoor living? However I finally caved in and bought this garden hanging chair. To be fair, it’s a practical one and probably one of the cheapest out there. Of course I would have loved one of those super-stylish options, but like I said earlier, I don’t think we’d have made the most of it.
So is the cheapest outdoor hanging chair out there worth it to me? Oh yes it is, and you know what, it looks rather nice. We have attached it to one of our cherry tree branches which seems sturdy enough. The kids have been using it more than us, they like the idea of spinning each other around – to be honest I’m surprised it hasn’t all ended in tears – and they love sitting on it together.

If money is no object and you want to splash out, this one (1) is a great choice. Small and compact, it looks very stylish and it’d look as good outdoors as indoors. If you want something quirky and practical, this is the one for you (4). Machine washable, can be hung from a variety of places. With anti mould and water resistant fabric, it’s really perfect for the unpredictable UK summers. I love these round shaped ones (3) & (6), especially the Globo Swing Chair. It’s got a very slick shape which makes it look ultra modern. Retro fans will love this designer statement piece (2) that comes in 2 different colours. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful, look no further, this (6) is probably one of the best out there.
