Wall art with Posterlounge

If you are a regular reader of this blog you probably remember my living room revamp earlier this year, here. Apart from a coffee table (that is finally on order!) the only thing needed in the room was some wall art. I initially painted the walls magnolia.  Boring, I know, but the idea was to add lots of colour with accessories and wall art. Finding wall art, especially when you are not sure what your are looking for, is not easy.  Luckily Posterlounge came to my rescue and asked me to choose something from their site.

Posterlounge have an amazing range of prints and posters, there is something for everybody with a range of over 300,000 to choose from.  I was a bit overwhelmed initially by the wide choice available,I knew I wanted something colourful but I wasn’t sure exactly what.  Something modern, and big enough to look good as a standalone painting. Luckily you can browse Posterlounge’s site by room, style or by artist which makes things easier.

I decided to go for a New York abstract skyline painting by Gerhard Kraus. It’s a gorgeous painting with oranges, greens and a touch of blue, which are perfect colours for the room.  In Posterlounge not only you can choose different size prints but you can also choose different materials which is useful, and very handy depending on what room you are selecting paintings for. I decided to go for a canvas print, as I thought it suited the room a bit better.

Posterlounge are based in Germany so I was expecting a long delivery date, but my canvas arrived less than a week after ordering it, really well packaged and in great condition. My fear when ordering prints, or anything else, from outside the UK is always the condition it arrives in and how long it takes.

The canvas is totally gorgeous.  It really suits the wall in the living room and the print quality is so good that it actually looks like a painting. It’s only when you look up close that you can see it’s a canvas print.  I am pleased I chose it as the colours are great and they really bring a pop of colour to the otherwise dull wall.

  1. I had never heard of Posterlounge before but I was very pleasantly surprise when I visited their website. There were some gorgeous posters that would look great in my home, x
  2. A great prize and a very good idea about brightening up bare walls. A lot of people rent nowadays so can't really decorate to their own tastes so a lovely canvas print like this one can really stamp your own personality on a home.
  3. I've just been on their website & wow they have some amazing posters & such an amazing selection too - thank you for the giveaway
  4. The colours in that are BEAUTIFUL! I've just decorated the living room in Teal and Silver, that would look beautiful hung up on the wall, nice accent colours x
