Do you ever feel like you have a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear? I am sure I am not the only one that feels like that. We are off on our summer holiday next week so I am on a bit of shopping spree. I’m after some key pieces that will not just be perfect for my summer holiday but also for the rest of the summer in the UK.
1.\\ Joanna Hope Dress – JD Williams
2.\\ Long oval link necklace – JCrew
3.\\ Belle Embroidered Clutch Bag – Accessorize
4.\\ Sole Diva Platform Sandals -JD Williams
5.\\ Fireworks Burst Earring – Banana Republic
6.\\ Black Premium Handmade Cat Eye Sunglasses – Next
7.\\ Tote with cord detail – Zara
I really like this dress. The colour is beautiful and it’s very “me”. The cut is very flattering if, again like me, you have a bit of a tummy and want to hide it. This dress will be perfect on holiday but it’s a dress I’d also wear to work with smart shoes and a blazer. As I am a bit short I always struggle with long dresses but this one comes in 2 different lengths so it’s ideal if you are not very tall. There are some other similar style dresses I like here.
Summer is the time of the year when I love wearing chunky, bold jewellery. This necklace and earrings are beautiful and they both look very chic. I don’t usually wear big earrings but for some reason in the summer, on holiday, I always feel like wearing big dangly ones.
I have a bit of a thing for bags and I have too many. Every so often I tell myself I am not buying any more, but I can’t help it!. This clutch bag is really cute and perfect for the evening and it goes really well with the dress above. I love the colour combination and it is the right size to fit your phone and purse.
I love clogs, and the studs on the sides of these ones make them really on trend. Before I had children I used to wear really high heels but these days I do prefer a medium heel.
Sunglasses are a bit like handbags, you can never have enough, right? I keep seeing cat eye style sunglasses everywhere at the moment and I really like these ones. They are not too pricey so easy to justify getting them! The coloured marble effect frame is quite unusual too.
I have been looking for a beach bag for a while and whilst this one is not specifically a beach bag but it could be used as one. As a family of four we always need lot’s of bits and pieces when going to the beach or staying by the pool so this big tote would fit the bill.
What do you think of all these items? Do you go on a shopping spree before your summer holiday?
