Hello, how has your week been? It’s been freezing in London, quite wet and miserable and we even had the first snow of the year. Ok, it wasn’t really much like snow but more like fluff. Still though, it was very exciting!
We have finally eaten all the chocolates and biscuits we had left from Christmas. The house is slowly going back to normal, especially now that the builders have gone. Yes, we still have a lot of painting and decorating to do but in the meantime I’m pleased the downstairs of the house is semi presentable again. I’ve written a post with all the lessons learnt after our loft conversion, you can read it here
This week I have….
Watched
Silent Witness, so happy to see it return. It’s one of my favourite series and it never disappoints. I wonder if forensic scientist’s day to day lives are really as exciting as they seem – I am sure they are not!
I’ve also been watching the latest series of Catastrophe. If you love comedy this is a series to watch, so funny and well written. It’s one of those series where you laugh so much that you end up crying.
Tried
As you know I have been following the curly girl method for over a year now. Even though I’m happy with my hair’s condition I still haven’t found the perfect products to beat frizz. This is probably the worst time of the year for curly hair anyway with cold and damp weather playing havoc with it.
The past couple of weeks I’ve been trying the As I Am cowash, after hearing great reviews about it. I was a bit wary about trying it beforehand as I don’t think my hair likes coconut, but I’m quite pleased with it so far. It’s quite a light cowash that leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh. It’s a great product to try if you have fine or low porosity hair. I’ll let you know how I get on with it once I’ve tried it for a bit longer.
Read
I Haven’t been reading many books recently, but have enjoyed reading the latest copies of Red and Real Homes magazines. In this day and age, when we spend so much time online is nice to read and browse proper magazines. It’s a bit of ‘me time’ whenever I have a quiet moment. I’ve been a subscriber to Red since pretty much the beginning and I love the mixture of fashion and lifestyle articles. Home magazines are always a great source of inspiration and I’m always interested in reading the latest trends.
There is more snow forecasted for this week so it could be an interesting one!
