I can’t believe we are already in the middle of January. The days and weeks seem to fly by and spring will hopefully be here soon. One of my blogging resolutions for the year is to produce more style / fashion posts. This was my intention when I created the blog 18 months ago but somehow fashion got a bit sidetracked in favour or parenting and interior posts.
I am not working at the moment, and haven’t been since the end of October. This has really affected my style, I am making less of an effort and I find myself wearing jeans and scruffy jumpers on a daily basis. It’s easy to get into a bit of a rut if you spend a lot of time at home. My short term goal is to do a bit of a wardrobe clear out and start wearing anything but jeans.

As I have always worked full time I am not sure how to dress for being at home. I feel I either dress up too much or I wear really old clothes that make me feel a bit frumpy. My aim for the next few months -or for how long I am unemployed for, is to find a style that suits me and works as a stay at home mum.
Just before Christmas I had a photo session with a local photographer, Annelie Popovic. I wanted to have some up to date pictures for the blog and for my social media profiles. These here are just some of my favourites. I am really pleased with our session and how they show my style. I have always been a lover of colour and the older I get, the bolder I am with my choices.

This year I will be sharing some more style posts with you and hopefully they won’t all be scruffy jumpers and jeans! If you work from home or if you are a stay at home mum you probably understand how I feel and you probably identify with me.
I’d love to hear what your style is like. Are you in the same predicament as me? or do you tend to dress up a bit more.
