This is the time of the year when we all want to feel all snug and warm in our bedrooms. When we want to spend lazy Sundays in bed, having cups of tea and enjoying reading books while we are nice and cosy.
Adding textures, layers and lighting will help you achieve that cosy Christmas look. You don’t need to spend a lot of money, just add a few accessories and your room will be ready for the festive season.

Red is my favourite colour and also perfect for this time of the year. Adding chunky cushions fluffy blankets will instantly transform your bedroom. This star cushion from Lexington is gorgeous, perfect for a Christmas look but also great for the rest of the year. There is nothing more wintery than mohair and just looking at this blanket you feel like you want to snuggle up in bed reading a book.
Copper is on trend at the moment and it works really well combined with red. I have this Aldi lamp in my living room and I think it’d look fantastic in a bedroom. The bulb it comes with might be too bright for a bedroom, but it could be easily replaced with a dimmer one. A marble base makes it look more expensive and gives it a really contemporary look
And when it comes to my bed, a good quality mattress is really important. Memory foam mattresses especially are really important for a good nights sleep and for a well rested back.
There is nothing more Christmassy and cosy than a winter candle. The White Company ones are my favorite ones, they really last a long time and the smell is gorgeous. And we all need a little trinket tray in our bedside table, don’t we? They are ideal for jewellery and other bits and pieces.
Red and copper are a great combination, not just for Christmas but all year round.
These are my tips to create a cosy bedroom at Christmas, what do you think of them? Do you make any changes to your bedroom for Christmas?
