I was lucky to get an invite to the Mothers Meeting event at The Outnet last week. Mothers Meeting, if you have never heard of them, is a website that connects mums that want to talk about fashion, culture or just business and gives them a chance to network and meet other like-minded women. The Outnet, is the sister company of Net a Porter, probably the most popular online site to buy designer clothes.
The event took place at the Outnet’s offices in West London and let me tell you, their offices are A-MA-ZING. Super trendy, super modern and just beautiful.
The main speakers at the event were Liz Matthews (PR), Dress Like a Mum (Blogger) and Eve Thomas,The Outnet’s Fashion Director. It was a great evening where a lot of fashion topics were discussed, how to dress after having a baby or when breastfeeding, what brands to invest in, what wardrobe staples to get and many more things.
It was really refreshing to talk about all these subjects with the “experts” and to see that are the end of the day we are all mums and have the same fashion dilemmas.
After the panel discussions we were treated to some canapes, a dj , hair braiding station and of course there was the chance to do some networking. There were also a lot of clothes and accessories on display and I fell in love with this little red Sophie Hulme bag (pictured below). Unfortunately this bag is out of stock, but I am keeping an eye on the Outnet’s site to see when it’s back in stock.
I was lucky to get an Outnet voucher in my goody bag, so I have been lusting over their site for the past few days. The Outnet sells past season stock at a really reduced price so you can find designer items at a more affordable price than usual.
I now need to decide what I will be getting with my voucher… I will keep you updated.
Have you been to any of Mothers Meeting events?
