New look on the blog & a slow weekend | My weekly round up

How was your week? While it’s been great to have a short week, for some reason it felt like a very long one. We’ve had pretty quiet weekends recently, mainly because of the gloomy weather, and also because we always seem to have something to do in the house. We are getting in the habit of going for a coffee on Saturday mornings while the boys are at football club. I’m not going to lie, I really enjoy a couple of hours child free having coffee and a cake.

This week…

New look on the blog

This week I’ve spent most evenings working around the scenes to change my blog template. I do love my current one, and all the customisable options it offers, but due to some recent issues that occurred with it I feel like I need to move. I’ve found a different theme which offers similar options. It probably feels like a straight forward, easy job, and it might be for some, but I’m technically challenged so it’s been a ver slow progress for me and I’m still not 100% happy of how my new template looks. I’ll probably be ready to launch my updated blog at some point next week so watch this space…

Wore

My Boden tote bag which has been in my wardrobe for a while, and I’ve recently rediscovered. It’s always great to rediscover items of clothing or accessories that you’ve forgotten you had because they were at the back of the wardrobe. This is a really versatile bag, smart enough to wear to work but also great for the weekend when I’m out and about.

Weekly round up

Made

Chocolate chip walnut brownies for a charity bake at work. I’m not the best cook, but I enjoy baking, especially if it’s something not too complicated and an easy to follow recipe. These brownies are really easy to make, and the chocolate and walnut combination is delicious. They are rich – they are made with 3 bars of chocolate and chocolate chips – so they are definitely a treat for special occasions and not something to bake on a regular basis.

Next week

My ‘baby’ turns 7. OK, he is not really a baby anymore but he will always be the baby of the family. We are having a party at home for the second year running and hope to have great weather, just like we did last year. I’ll be happy as long as it doesn’t rain, as I don’t think I will be able to fit 15 children and parents in my living room!

Hope you have a great week!

  1. It is wonderful that you sum up the week in such a way. This makes it possible to see some improvements, set the new goals in carrying out the tasks.
