Once again we are at the end of the year. How did that happen? I feel like the weeks and months have flown by in 2017.
One main thing happened to the blog this year, I renamed. Yes, I went from Spanish Mummy to my current name, Loved by Elena. Renaming is something I had been pondering with for quite a while. It’s not like I’m not interested in parenting blogging anymore but as my children are getting older I feel like there are many other things I can discuss in the blog. I’ve always loved fashion and interiors so a lifestyle blog is more suited to me at the moment.
This year I’ve also been more selective with the brands I’ve worked with. I’ve turned down numerous collaborations because they were either not right for my blog or because they were brands I didn’t really love. Blogging highlights of 2017 have to be being nominated for another Amara Interior Award in the Lifestyle category and also being named blogger of the month in July by Next which is one of my all time favourite brands.
I’ve done a round up of the top 5 most popular posts in 2017 in case you want to have a read. They are all very different, from interiors, lifestyle to fashion.
Earlier in the year I had the pleasure to work with Herman Miller reviewing their Herman Miller Mirra 2 chair. I was absolutely delighted to work with such an iconic brand, that is synonym not only of style but also of design. And the main thing, the chair is super comfortable!. I’ve been overwhelmed at how well recieved the post has been throughout the year. I hope to work with Herman Miller again in the future as their products are amazing.
I love discovering and supporting small business. I came across La Zebra earlier this year through Instagram. Run by a fellow Spaniard living in the UK La Zebra offers fun and colourful clothes for children and mums.
In May we traveled to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. It was the first time we stayed at a H10 hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The H10 is perfect for families and couples alike looking for a relaxed stay in a great location.
As a blogger you sometimes get invited to press previews to have a look at what’s in store next season. I visited Neptune’s Autumn / Winter 2017 back in July in probably the hottest day of the year. Neptune’s range is really impressive and I loved the bold colours they have in store for winter.
It’s quite hard to put yourself out there in front of the camera for the world to see. I’m always a bit worried about publishing fashion post but I’m quite pleased this has been so popular. I’m planning on more fashion posts in 2018 so watch this space.
I wanted to thank you all for your support in 2017 and hope you all have a wonderful New Year.
