Our weekend in pictures

I don’t know your children but mine need constant entertainment, we can never have a quiet weekend, we always have to do something, we are always on the go.  This is great in the summer or in spring but not as great in winter when all you want is a quiet weekend in.

Saturday was freezing but we thought we’d go to farm near us that has a few small animals, a soft play and a big playground. The boys were not 100% well, they both had colds but they still wanted to spend most of the time in the playground.

I bought a new camera over Christmas with the intention of carrying it with me more often and take more pictures. I am a frustrated photographer and this year I really want to improve the quality of my photos and my technique, unfortunately my children are not keen on me photographing them.

I really want to take my camera out as much as I can and document our days out and the boys growing up but it’s so cold at the moment that it’s not easy.

  1. We try and go out somewhere every weekend, but my girls are getting to the age where they want to be on the tablet a lot, so they need persuasion, especially in the winter. I don't have a camera, I would love to buy one when I can afford it. I use my Samsung Galaxy to take all my pictures which is pretty good. I am luck though that my brother is a photographer too. Your pictures look great, my little boy doesn't like having his picture taken either! Sarah #Whatevertheweather

  2. Hi! I´m an English Mummy living in Spain and I also have a son who needs to be out and about all the time! I think that´s definitely one of te advantages of living out here, that kids hve the chance to be outside almost all year around. Lovely post! www.rockingmummysworld.wordpress.com

  4. Lovely photos, especially the black and white with tiny pops of colour, great for winter pics. My boys are the same, bouncing off the walls if we are at home for too long, best to just get out! I want to take my big camera a lot, but it's not always possible to fit, so use my phone instead. At least I am managing a lot more photos of the. Growing up I guess.   5. I take the camera everywhere with us. Evie wants to go out everyday. I have to go to the shop or for a walk daily or she gets really fussy indoors. What camera did you get? Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I love the quality of them. Thank you so much for sharing with #whatevertheweather

    1. I got an Olympus Pen, it's the perfect size to carry in your handbag and the quality is excellent. I also have 2 Nikon DSLR but they are too bulky for every day
