Slumberland CD Review & Giveaway

Slumberland is a stunning collection of 13 lullabies and songs by Humphrey Berney, member of Classical Brit Award winning group Blake. The beautiful hand illustrated album case designed by Humphrey’s wife, fashion designer Charlotte Berney (Charlotte Taylor).

Slumberland CD

I recently received the Slumberland CD to review and the first thing I loved, even before I listened to it, was how beautiful the artwork is. The CD is presented in a hand illustrated fold out case, and it is so nice it could really be displayed in a child’s bedroom.

We always have music playing at home, we love music and we hope to pass on our passion to our children. We have been listening to Slumberland whenever we need a bit of calm and quiet time towards the end of the day and it’s perfect to wind down.

My favourite songs from the CD have to be Moon River and Somewhere over the rainbow. I love the classical twist and Humphrey Berney’s voice makes the songs sound magical.

If you have a baby or newborn you probably know that time of the day, late afternoon, when the “witching hour ” starts. One thing that helps is soothing music (at least it did help with my children) I think Slumberland is perfect for this.

Slumberland CD is £9.99

  1. Ah this sounds so lovely! I remember singing moon river and over the rainbow in all the endless hours awake in the middle of the night so that made me feel a bit nostalgic. This sounds like a lovely CD. Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub lovely! x
  2. Music has been so instrumental (no pun intended) for my daughter from calming her as a baby to now helping her develop her language with classic toddler songs. I love the artwork on this too! Thanks for linking up to the #FabFridayPost
  3. Aaaw! Somewhere Over The Rainbow is such a gentle, beautiful song. Eva Cassidy's version is very touching. Good to know the song is included in the CD along with other favourites.
