I really enjoy looking inside other people’s homes to see their ideas and design choices, don’t you? Here is a sneaky peak inside my friend Donna Ashworth from Ladies Pass it On‘s home. I would love to hear about your favourite pieces too.
As a lover of all things interior and a big fan of this blog I am over the moon to share with you those items within my own home that bring me constant pleasure. Like most of us I imagine, there are many things still on my to-do list but these particular aspects of my house are what makes it a home.
The Big light
My husband bought me this A light as an anniversary gift, the symbolism of the A for my married name is dear to me, and I think this light looks great in my under-stairs nook. It casts a really cosy glow in the evenings and it means something special to us too.
The Customised Mirror
We bought this fairly plain yet pretty mirror from John Lewis but made it our own by adding some lights underneath. It’s now a fantastic centrepiece for the room and again casts a lovely warm glow for those cosy nights in. So easy to do and cheap too.
The Photo Wall
For me no home is complete without a photo wall. It tells the story of our family and makes for a great conversation piece during Dinner parties in the Dining Room. I chose canvases in sepia tone for mine but any frame layout works just as well. I add to the wall every few months as our story evolves.
The Aroma Diffuser
My Diffuser from Muji is a constant source of pleasure for me. I love the light it casts and playing around with different fragrances. It tackles cooking smells brilliantly and keeps our house smelling amazing all day long. So far our most favourite aroma is the lemongrass with a hint of tangerine – so fresh!
